Hi!
I am Pepe Fernández and I am passionate about programming and web design, with a special taste for music. After completing my studies in photography and sound, I continued my academic path graduating in multimedia. During my training, I have completed numerous courses related to these disciplines, which has allowed me to develop a wide range of solutions at almost all stages of the development of a multimedia product.
I consider myself an organized person with a predisposition to learn, always willing to improve and expand my knowledge. During my training and work career, I have developed a solid understanding of programming and web design, adapting to different work environments and keeping up to date with industry trends in a balanced and realistic way.
During my stay in England, living in Liverpool and Manchester for two years, I had the opportunity to work in various jobs. These experiences not only improved my level of English, by dodging hot frying pans, but also encouraged me to seek a more rewarding future in the technology sector, strengthening my capacity for effort and adaptability.
Since the beginning of my career as a programmer, I have worked in startups, more specifically in the fintech sector. I started my journey at Afterbanks, where I worked for three years as a back-end Developer. In this period, I used technologies such as PHP, Node.js, Puppeteer, Docker or Google Cloud. My work at Afterbanks consisted of developing a bank aggregation API, initially using scrapping techniques and later with a PSD2 license. This experience, in a company promoted by Lanzadera and currently acquired by INDRA, allowed me to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for secure access to bank account information, guaranteeing total and secure control over personal and business finances.
In my current role at Coinscrap, I work as a full-stack developer using a set of modern and efficient technologies, including Node.js, Loopback, React, Next.js or AWS. My work focuses on both the back-end and the front-end, which allows me to have a comprehensive vision of application development. I contribute to the creation of self-savings solutions that use automated rules to help users manage and improve their financial health, a key part of the company's mission. In addition, I am also involved in the development of internal tools, insurtech applications and COCO, a group of tools to, among other things, categorize transactional data.
Since joining Coinscrap (Ourense), I enjoy the flexibility of working 100% remotely (Valencia). Additionally, the company promotes a healthy balance between work and personal life, offering a 32-hour work week. From day one, I have witnessed the constant commitment to employee well-being and development, cultivating a positive and stimulating work environment.
